Qantas Business Rewards are offering the opportunity for Qantas Frequent Flyers to earn a bonus 50% Status Credits when flying on eligible Qantas services. The bonus Status Credits are available for new bookings made between 31 July and 14 August, for travel by the end of September. To be eligible, members will need to be on travel with a Qantas Business Rewards member.
Key Details
Registration for the promotion is required. You are able to do this through a dedicated page on the Qantas Business Rewards site.
Once you have registered your companies account, you can then book eligible flights for those travelling for your business. In order to receive the bonus Status Credits the booking will need to include the ABN of your business, as well as the Qantas Frequent Flyer number of the traveller.
For the purposes of Qantas Business Rewards, eligible flights include
- domestic or international flights with a Qantas ‘QF’ flight number on the ticket;
- flights operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines;
- are purchased in Australia, and have a ticket number commencing with ‘081’; and
- flights booked and travelled for business after the business registers for Qantas Business Rewards
In the case of this Status Credit promotion, it will be the actual traveller that receives the bonus Status Credits.
Summary
A 50% bonus on Status Credits is a useful promotion that may help members get to the next status level. It is, however, restricted to members travelling for a Qantas Business Rewards member. This may be a bit of a restriction for many. However, if you are eligible, it may give a useful boost to your status credit balance.
